Glass Blowing Artists and Brands
Glass blowing has been around since before the Bible was written and has certainly come a long way since. It might look easy and fun, but it is extremely tedious . There is only a small league of extraordinary glass blowers that can call themselves “the best.” Some of these artists include JP Toro, Slinger, Snic, FYC, JOP, Burtoni, Darby, Alex K, D Wreck, Salt, Worm and Snoop. These people and some I did not mention go far beyond just functionality. Each artist has their own personality and style, but there is a shared respect towards the art of glass blowing and today’s custom pieces will literally blow your mind. Be prepared to pick your jaw up off the floor as you scroll and wonder how these people do it.
Scooping up a custom piece from one of the afore mentioned artists can prove to be quite a difficult task and can be pretty hard on the ol bank account. Because of this, most enthusiasts turn to the top glass brands to guide them in their glass buying endeavor. RooR, Illadelph, Zob, Ph(x), Zong, and Tsunami are just a few of the most popular glass brands. Beware though, like most awesome things in life, there will be haters and imitators. It’s important to know what YOU are looking for, as there are plenty of illegitimate pieces made to look like the real thing and sold as such. Everything on this site is guaranteed to be the real deal so the only thing you have to worry about how you’re going to celebrate when your new piece arrives in the mail.
